The Danse Danse series is forging ahead promoting its upcoming 17th season, before the current season has even run out, and we’re very excited for what the future has in store. This year-long dance series located in Montreal, Canada, is a personal favourite of Dance Profiler, serving up a delicious medley of big international names and astounding local talent. The whole is presented on the stages of the Place des Arts in the heart of one of the world’s most culturally vibrant cities.
The 2014-2015 season will be highlighting Quebec artists, with six local companies on the program: O Vertigo, Tentacle Tribe, Wants&Needs Danse, Montréal Danse, Alan Lake Factori(e) and Le Carré des Lombes. International artists joining the festival this year are Akram Khan Company (UK), Sadler’s Wells (UK), ICKamsterdam (Netherlands) and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch (Germany). A bold mix of new and newer, influential veteran choreographers are linked with the influencers of tomorrow in an exciting program designed for indulgence.
